Buttermilk Biscuits

Say it with me: three ingredient buttermilk biscuits.

Super easy, super fast, super delicious! I recently bought a 32 ounce jar of peach and ginger preserves from work (which are to die for) so I figured that I would need some biscuits to put the preserves on. What better biscuit than a dense, flaky, buttermilk biscuit?

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 oil (it didn’t specify, so I used vegetable oil)

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients together with a spoon.

Scoop the dough up with your hands or spoon it into your hands and form into a ball.

Press the dough down flat on a greased baking sheet. It should yield 8-10 biscuits depending on the size you roll them. I was able to get nine out of my dough although they aren’t all the same size.

Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

When the biscuits are done, grab some butter, jelly, jam, preserves, or whatever else you desire and slather it on the halved biscuits. Try not to eat the whole pan at once and enjoy!
